CYT Fredericksburg Student Interviewed For Her Role as an Extra in The Hunger Games

CYT Fredericksburg student Lydia Sumpolec was recently interviewed by WSOC-TV, for her role as a background actor in The Hunger Games!

Here’s what Lydia shared with the news station:

“It was just an awesome experience. I loved it. It was just mind-blowing.”

According to WSOC-TV, “[Lydia] Spent more than a week in Shelby last summer, working part-time as an extra in the movie. Her family spent thousands of dollars to stay in a hotel and eat at local restaurants.”

    It was indeed an amazing experience for her!! (But I just have to say – for the record – we DID NOT spend thousands of dollars! They totally made that up! Lydia and I were both paid to be in the film and it more than covered the couple of nights we did end up needing a hotel:-)
