CYT North Idaho Presents “Big The Musical”

CYT North Idaho is producing their first summer musical with adults playing adults in BIG THE MUSICAL, August 9 through 19, 2012.

Big the Musical, was chosen because of its great upbeat musical numbers, large cast of characters, young and old, and it’s heart warming story of a young boy who wishes to be grown and upon fulfillment of that wish, discovers there’s much more to being an adult than he’s bargained for. Nearly everyone around in the late 80′s and early 90′s remembers fondly the movie, “Big,” starring Tom Hanks.

This Broadway musical has been described by USA Today, as “the ideal family musical.”

Dates and times are as follows: August 9, 10, 11, 17, & 18 at 7 p.m. and August 11, 12, 18 & 19 at 3 p.m.

Christian Community Theater or CCT is the parent company of CYT’s across the nation. CYT North Idaho is excited to offer our community this opportunity to see kids and adults working together in Big the Musical at the S.A. Kroc Community Theater, 1765 W. Golf Course Rd, Coeur d’Alene, ID, 83815.

CYT NI is offering this show as a fundraiser for their regular children’s after-school theater arts program which runs September – June. CYT produces 3 Broadway-style musicals a year giving students enrolled in their theater arts classes the opportunity to use the skills they have honed in the CYT program. Tuition and ticket sales cover approximately 65% of the costs of the program making it necessary to raise the remaining expenses through donations and fundraising. CYT NI offers scholarships and no child has ever been turned away for a lack of funds. CYT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
