Hi everybody at CYT- it’s me, Daniel Sack!
Boy it’s been a long time since I saw you all, but I hope some of you remember me, ’cause I sure appreciate the influence that you guys have had on my life. I just wanted to update you all on how I’ve been doing since I left.
I moved to San Jose, and I’ve been working hard the past three years and have grown deeper in my identity in Christ, as a performer and Christian artist – and I’m ready to finally devote myself to becoming everything I was meant to be.
I’m prayerfully considering, among other possible career options, attending the LA Film School. I want to become a director, of films which present compelling stories in powerful ways to evangelize and spread the Gospel, and of films which are an encouragement to believers in their walk with Jesus. Also, I feel that the Lord has placed music in my heart, as well as a desire to create opportunities to inspire His people to worship, and encounter His Holy Spirit in powerful ways. Therefore I am also prayerfully considering entering the Christian music industry. I would appreciate your prayers as I seek the Lord on the shape of His Will for my life.
I feel like this is, among other things, what I was born to do:
To edify and encourage the Body of Christ, and to obey the Lord and prepare hearts to seek out Jesus. I know that the world as it cries out in pain is desperate for the hope that I now know is only found in the Sacrifice of Christ. Alone I am weak and broken in my flesh; so please, please pray with me that I listen to God’s voice, that I am obedient, and that I will be bold and courageous in speaking the reality of our lives.
So – what does this have to do with you, CYT and co.? CYT gave me my first healthy community experience as part of a body of believers, working together to touch the lives of thousands of people through song, dance, and drama. You gave me my first taste of what can happen when a handful of people come together to seek to honor the Lord with their efforts to bless a community, and I am grateful for that. As my Senior Pastor, Bret Allen, often reminds me: “You, plus God, is a majority.” When we put Jesus in the center of our efforts, He takes what we have and makes it more than enough, by filling it with Himself.
Thank you for exposing me to this infectious truth, and showing Christ’s love for providing a place for me to find God’s genuine family. In this way you got me started on what promises to be the journey of a lifetime! Thanks for everything!
Yours, always,
Danny Feliciano (Daniel Sack)
